The bilateral meeting

of the State Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Moldova

and the Finnish Meteorological Institute

On the 11^th of October 2008, in Chisinau, there took place the official meeting of the delegations of the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) and of the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI). The purpose of this meeting was to sign an interdepartmental Agreement of cooperation.

The head of the Moldovan delegation was Mr. Valeriu Cazac, director of SHS, the head of the Finnish delegation – Mr. Petteri Taalas, director general of FMI.

The heads of SHS and FMI exchanged information on the activity of their national hydrometeorological services.

The parties expressed their willingness to expand the mutual beneficial cooperation, discussed the main directions of its development, the means and forms of its practical implementation.
