Hydrology Forecast Division

The following services and products are provided for the central and local public authorities, national economy and population:

Short range forecast – a forecast of a daily water level and water discharge of the Nistru and Prut rivers, including forecasts of maximum water level and water discharge during spring tides and pluvial ones, terms of ice formation and ice breakage.

 Medium range forecast is a type of forecasting with a lead-time up to 10 days on the scale and terms of spring tides, high water hodographs.

Warnings and recommendations are issued when dangerous hydrological phenomena occur on the rivers (floods, ice jam, sudden drop in water discharge, ice formation and ice breakage, etc.).
