State Water Cadastre Division
At present the stationary hydrological network of the republic includes 2 hydrological stations (Bălţi and Dubăsari) and 47 hydrological posts on the Prut river (7), on the tributaries of the Prut river (6), on the Nistru river (14), on the rivers flowing into the Black Sea (3), on the lakes and reservoirs: Costeşti lake (4) and Dubăsari lake (3).
The State Water Cadastre Division investigates the hydrological regime of the rivers in the Republic of Moldova and issues: Annual data on surface water regime and resources. The yearbook is the continuation of the “Hydrologic Yearbook” previous edition; Historical data on surface water regime and resources. The publication comprises data on basic hydrological characteristics and regime of water bodies and reservoirs in Moldova. At present the Guide on historical data since the first observations up to 2000 is under development.
The State Water Cadastre of the Republic of Moldova is beeing published since 2000 according to the Governmental Decision Nr. 619 from 16.08.1994 on “Regulations for water bodies’ management and rational use of water resources in the Republic of Moldova”.
The State Concern “Apele Moldovei” and State Agency for Geological Production and Exploration “EHGEOM” are also involved in preparing the State Water Cadastre. The Cadastre includes annual data on hydrographical network of the country, water resources and their quality, data on water management.
